DJ MAKO's Bio

updated Sept 26, 2006

DJ MakoDJ Mako (a.k.a. Pablo Godel) was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina. His first real contact with music was around 1987/88 (thanks to the radio Z95, la Zeta!) when something blew his mind, it was called Acid House.

Nothing even close was heard before that moment, and what for many was just another type of music of the moment, it converted into the MUSIC. His prefered genres are almost any kind of House: Acid, Deep, Italo, Euro, Piano, Jazzy, Soulful, you name it. He prefers to play House classics but also loves to play fine recent titles.

His preferred DJs are Todd Terry, Danny Tenaglia, David Morales, and others.

Right now he lives in the US and plays the best House on the net, every thursday night. Join him in a tour over the amazing collection of House anthems, remember, dance and enjoy.

DJ Mako hosted House Feeling, a music show about House music, that aired every Monday on DLA Radio.

DJ Mako says: "Recently I came to the sad conclusion that if we do nothing, the roots of our lovely House music will soon be forgotten by newer generations and by people that lived the House revolution of the late 80s and early 90s. I still recall the first time I listened to House in a club in Argentina, it blew my mind and some deep grooves were made in my brain, I am sure I am not the only one. I don't know if newer generations will appreciate classic House but at least we must try and can't let the people that lived it forget. From my position, I want to do anything I can to keep classic House in the air, and if you share my love and thoughts about House music, I ask you to join me, come and listen, spread the word, contact me."
